Jack Hubert Roth, son of Jacob John and Helen Mary (Toennemann) Roth, was born September 29, 1925 in St Louis, Missouri. He registered for the draft September 29, 1943. At the time he was a student at Southwest High School and worked part time at A P Bakery in St Louis. He was inducted into the Army March 23, 1944 at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri and joined Company L, 320th Infantry Regiment from the 38th Replacement Battalion November 17, 1944 serving as a Rifleman. He was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge December 1, 1944. Pvt Jack H Roth was reported missing in action in the vicinity of Baschleiden, Luxembourg southeast of Bastogne and was later confirmed killed in action January 6, 1945. He is buried at Resurrection Cemetery, Affton, Missouri.
