Robert Lee Shore, son of Charles Augustus and Nancy Carrie (Taylor) Shore, was born December 10, 1916 in Holden, Missouri. He was a Squad Leader in Company G, 320th Infantry Regiment. He was promoted to Staff Sergeant July 25, 1944 and was awarded the Expert Infantryman Badge July 31, 1944. He was wounded in action August 16, 1944 in the vicinity of Chateaudun, France and returned to duty January 12, 1945. S/Sgt Robert L Shore was killed in action January 18, 1945 just northeast of Bastogne, Belgium. He is buried at Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Belgium.
