Marshall Otis Skinner Jr, son of Marshall Otis and Alice May (Fox) Skinner, was born November 2, 1923 in Cumberland, Wisconsin. He married Eleanor Amelia Ekenstedt August 12, 1942 in Pine, Minnesota. He registered for the draft June 30, 1942, was inducted into the Army March 13, 1943, and served in Headquarters 1st Battalion, 320th Infantry Regiment. Pvt Marshall O Skinner was seriously wounded by artillery shell shrapnel on July 12, 1944 during the battle for St Lo, France and died of his wounds July 22, 1944. He is buried at Lakeside Cemetery, Cumberland, Wisconsin.
