Harry S Smith was born April 20, 1920 in Kunkle, Pennsylvania. He was inducted into the Army March 12, 1942 at Fort George G Meade, Maryland. He joined Company B, 320th Infantry Regiment from the 48th Replacement Battalion August 21, 1944 and was promoted to Sergeant, Squad Leader, December 1, 1944. Originally reported missing, it was later confirmed that he was killed in action January 15, 1945. Sgt Harry S Smith is buried at Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Henri-Chapelle, Belgium.
