Charlie Christopher Spencer, son of Marcus Alexander and Ethel Leona (Dunn) Spencer, was born in Texas, October 13, 1921. He registered for the draft February 16, 1942 and was inducted into the Army August 22, 1942 at Dallas, Texas. Pfc Charlie C Spencer served in Company K, 320th Infantry Regiment. He was originally reported missing and was later confirmed killed in action August 13, 1944 in the vicinity of Mortain, France. He is buried at Georgia Cemetery, Georgia, Texas.
