Company B - 320th Infantry Regiment

Eugene William Sullivan, son of Eugene and Margaret (Sha) Sullivan, was born July 14, 1911 in Monroe County, Wisconsin. He and his wife Lena May (Linnehan) Sullivan had 2 children; a son William Eugene who died in early childhood and a daughter Maureen Margaret. He was inducted into the Army January 19, 1944 and joined Company B, 320th Infantry Regiment from the 48th Replacement Battalion on August 9, 1944. He was awarded a Combat Infantryman Badge August 20 and promoted to Staff Sergeant, Squad Leader September 4, 1944. S/Sgt Eugene W Sullivan was killed in action September 13, 1944 in the vicinity of Flavigny, France. He is buried at Lorraine American Cemetery, Saint-Avold, France.
