Albert Wotchko, son of Alvin and Alma (Wolff) Wotchko, was born November 17, 1922 in Saginaw, Michigan. He registered for the draft June 30, 1942 and entered service January 21, 1943. He arrived in the ETO in May 1944, billeted in Cornwall, England, and landed on Omaha Beach July 6, 1944. He served as a Messenger in Company E, 320th Infantry Regiment and was awarded the Expert Infantryman Badge July 31, 1944. Pfc Albert Wotchko was killed in action August 2, 1944 in the vicinity of Torigni-sur-Vire, south of St Lo, France. He is buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.
