Everett Elsworth Wright, son of Glenson and Emma (Cochran) Wright, was born November 2, 1909 in Nebraska. His Army enlistment record indicates he was inducted February 7, 1940 at Smithfield, North Carolina and at that time he was living in Indiana. He served as a Field Lineman in the 35th Signal Company. He was killed in action November 10, 1944.

According to the 35th Signal Company's After Action Report, "on 10th November the 134th Regimental CP (command post) moved to Amelcourt. While extending the lines between Coutures and Amelcourt (France) the wire construction crew was under heavy direct fire from enemy tanks dug in on commanding high ground. The entire road was under fire and T/Sgt Everett E Wright was killed and Pfc Denton and Pfc Johnson were wounded by shrapnel."

T/Sgt Everett E Wright is buried at Lorraine American Cemetery. Saint-Avold, France.
