S/Sgt John E Puckett

S/Sgt. John Edward Puckett served in the 4th Infantry Division until being wounded in action August 31, 1945.  After recuperating from his wounds he was assigned to Company K, 134th Infantry Regiment December 19, 1944.   On January 12, 1945 he was injured in action, suffering severe frostbite. He returned to duty May 10, 1945 and served with the 134th Infantry for the remainder of the war.

He was awarded a Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with a Bronze Arrow and one Silver Battle Star.
