This photo was taken between early February through early October 1944.
Pfc. Harry A. Krantz is in the second row from the top, just to the left of the 3rd crease from the right edge of the photo (face partially obscured). He served as a cook in Headquarters Company, SHAEF from February 1944 through October 11, 1944. After leaving SHAEF he received medical training at Tidworth Barracks in England, then served as a Combat Medic with the 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division from December 13, 1944 through the remainder of the war.
Pfc. Cecil Paul Smith is in the second row, 4th from the right. He was with Eisenhower in North Africa, then on to England, Versailles and Riems, France and until end of war.
