The photos above and the following letter were sent to the 134th Infantry Regiment Website by CPT Kevin Emerick

I'm sure you're aware of the 2,100 soldiers of Task Force Santa Fe currently deployed to Europe in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. On May 14, 2002 we presented a floral 35th Division patch at the Memorial in the American Cemetery at Normandy. This was our way of paying our respects to the 114 heroes of the 134th Regiment laid to rest in that field of honor, as well as the three other 134th soldiers listed as missing in action on the wall in the Garden of the Missing.
As Memorial Day and another D-Day anniversary approach, please let the Regimental members know their comrades are not forgotten by the current generation tasked with carrying the Division's legacy of service. I am the uniformed officer in the photos.
Yours in Service,
CPT Kevin Emerick

Sincere Thanks to CPT Emerick and all the brave soldiers of Task Force Santa Fe for their service to our country.
