134th Infantry Regiment"All Hell Can't Stop Us" |
Carl R. Schidler enlisted in the Army on November 12, 1940. He was in Company C of the 134th Infantry Regiment. He was deployed overseas on May 12, 1940. He was in the Normandy Campaign and the Northern France Campaign. Carl was wounded in action on July 30th, 1944 in France. He returned to the United States on November 26, 1944 and was at the Hospital center at Camp Carson, Colorado. His date of separation was May 22, 1945. Carl's brother Herbert Schidler also served in Company C and is in the reunion picture below.
